He was predeceased by: his father John Leslie; his wife Susan H. Brandt; his stepdaughter Sharon Stanley; and his sisters, Lois Frostman and Margaret Scharmen.

He is survived by: his stepchildren, Arthur Stanley, Patrick Stanley, Robert Stanley and Margaret. He is also survived by Papa and Ray Stanley, nineteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and eight great great-grandchildren.
