He is survived by: his wife Lillie Belle Arnold; his son Edward Raymond Arnold, Jr. (Juanita) of Cameron; and his sisters, Hazel McBride of Sanford and Linda Dowdy of Pittsboro, NC. He is also survived by two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
