As we bid Dorothy farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Dorothy is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Martin Peele and Minnie Denny Peele; her husband Daniel Fred Garner; her children, Danny Fred Garner and Freda Delise Garner Shaw; and her brother Clinton Gray Peele.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Cassidy Garner. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and special lifelong friends.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Yates Thagard Baptist Church Cemetery (3250 Niagara Carthage Rd, Whispering Pines, NC 28327).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice in Jean's memory.
