He is survived by: his wife Joan Hennings; his sons, Wilton Peavey (Ann) and Mark W. Peavey (Tina); his stepdaughters, Donna L. Hennings, Sherry E. Harrison (Rick) and Joy L. Hennings (Ken); his grandchildren, Jennifer Eaton (Matthew) and Jason Peavey (Victoria); his stepgrandchildren, Nathan, Kate, John Stevens, Amber (Mike), Lindsay (Andrew), Brielle (Thomas) and Ramey; and his great grandchildren, Madeline (Maddie), Aiden, Haydyn, Ivan, Cambrie, Arius, Kannon, Arkyn and Amarion.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Lafayette Memorial Park (2301 Ramsey St, Fayetteville, NC 28301).
