It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daniel Mayer of Cameron, North Carolina, born in New Rochelle, New York, who passed away on March 5, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Fredreich Mayer and Margaret Helen McNulty Mayer; his children, Lana Wilhoit, Shelly Morris and Glenn Mayer; and his sisters, Fredricka Edwards and Barbara Moriarty.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Mayer; and his children, Jan Letterman (Mike) of Hendersonville, TN, Angela Penuel of Hendersonville, TN., Donny Terrell (Ashley) of Cameron, NC and Don Mayer of Arizona.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial gifts be made to St. Jude, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
