It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel McGee Johnson in Camden, North Carolina, who passed away on July 10, 2022, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Franklin and Edna Gabriel McGee; her husband Samuel Franklin Johnson; her siblings, Betty Mahala, Carolyn Isenhour, Hilda Gray Horn and Herman McGee; and her grandson Craig Stewart Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Ashley Johnson (Deb) and Marsha Ellen Hopkins; her grandchildren, Lara Bibey, Virginia Johnson, Michelle Helscher (Cannon) and Scott Johnson (Suzie); and her great grandchildren, Brandon Bibey, Avery Johnson, Addison Johnson, Lucy Lee Helscher and Charles Cannon Helscher. She is also survived by five nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to West Market Street United Methodist Church, American Red Cross or Muir's Chapel United Methodist Church.
