He is survived by: his wife Linda Allen Folsom; his son Jonathan "Jon" Folsom (Melissa) of Greensboro; his stepdaughter Jennifer Petty (Kemer) of Winston-Salem; his grandchildren, Nate and Owen Folsom; his stepgrandchildren, Tyler Angel and Elisa Grzybowski; his niece Misty Pope Staley; and his great-niece Jessica Staley.
