It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elwood D. Sawyer (Camden, North Carolina), who passed away on August 8, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brothers, Stanley Sawyer and Horace Sawyer; and his siblings-in-law, Jean S. Sawyer and Carlton Smithson. He is survived by: his spouse Geraldean Doxey Sawyer; his children, Diane S. Harrington (Greg) of Wake Forest, E. Craig Sawyer of Camden and Angela D. Sutton (Trip) of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Lori H. Eitel (Paul) of Wake Forest, Stacey H. Harris (Shannon) of Roanoke, VA and Nicholas C. Sawyer (Kitty Rose); his great grandchildren, Hayden, Sophie, Annabelle, Maddie, Karabeth Eitel, Hunter, Tyler Harris, Sullivan and Scarlett Sawyer; his siblings, Ruby S. Smithson of Elizabeth City, Joseph Sawyer of Camden and W. L. Sawyer, Jr. (Brenda) of Camden; and his sisters-in-law, Sue B. Sawyer of Camden and Alice B. Sawyer of Elizabeth City.
