He was predeceased by: his parents, Elliot Whitehurst Jacobs, Sr. and Minnie Leona Long Jacobs; and his siblings, Patricia Jacobs Brown and Luther Ray Jacobs. He is survived by: his sons, Daniel Jacobs (Denise) of Camden, NC and Edward Jacobs (Nikki) of Elizabeth City, NC; his grandsons, Blake McPherson, James Jacobs, Daniel Jacobs and William Jacobs; and the mother of his children Donna Jacobs.
