She was predeceased by: her husband George Marvin Cotton; her grandson Stuart K. Grady; her son-in-law Steve C. Grady; her parents, Oney Knowles and Susie Taylor Knowles; and her siblings, Jean K. Oxendine, Harry Knowles, Johnny Ray Knowles and Robert E. Knowles.
She is survived by: her children, Jane C. (Dale Hedrick), Betty Lou C. Grady of Mount Olive and Buck; her daughter-in-law Vicky Bell Cotton of Mount Olive; and her siblings, Lucy Mozingo of Jackson, NC, Linda Graham of Goldsboro and Ernest Knowles (Evonne) of Sophia, NC. She is also survived by four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
