Thelma Batson Barfield Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thelma Batson Barfield (Calypso, North Carolina), who passed away on February 12, 2019 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Norwood Glenn Barfield; her son Timmy Barfield; her parents, Willie Sanford Batson and Annie Belle Turner Batson; and her sister Abby Lambert Jackson.
She is survived by: her children, Belinda Gregory (Don) of Calypso and Glenn Barfield (Barbara) of Mount Olive; her grandchildren, Nicholas Barfield, Katie Sass, Tiffany, Jonathan Griffin, Donald, Leslie Gregory, Crystal, Jody Quinn and Amber Issa; and her niece Janie Stevens of Mount Olive. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorial gifts be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro NC 27534.
