It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lola Mae Davis of Calypso, North Carolina, who passed away on January 27, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lola Mae Davis to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, D. O. Sutton and Sallie Sutton; and her brothers, Wescott (Owen) and Adrian. She is survived by: her significant other Adrian Davis (Fuzz); her son John A. (J. A.); her daughter-in-law Margaret Davis of Wake Forest, N. C.; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Davis (Ramona) of Humble, TX, Jonathan Davis (Mary) of Southlake, TX and Jennifer Ellinger of Raleigh, N. C.; and her great grandchildren, Maria, Jacob, Marcus Davis of Humble, Kamper, Lacy, Palmer Davis of Southlake, Holden and Mallory Ellinger of Raleigh. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
While living at Hillside she contacted COVID during the 2020 pandemic and was not expected to survive, but survive she did and lived another two-plus years despite complications from COVID and later from pneumonia.
