With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ike Nunn of Calypso, North Carolina, who passed away on March 16, 2025 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ike Nunn to pay them a last tribute.
Though Ike may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ike touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his wife Ann Barwick Nunn; his son Leslie Ray; and his parents, Leslie Ray Nunn and Fannie Byrd Nunn. He is survived by: his children, Gail N. Jones of Dudley, Phyllis Ann N. Hinson of Fayetteville and James Nunn of Orlando, Fla.. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any contributions be made to offset funeral expenses.
