With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary Stephen Herring of Calypso, North Carolina, who passed away on April 1, 2024 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Herring and Ellen Grubbs Herring; and his aunt Joan Grubbs Jennett. He is survived by: his wife Gail Daniels Herring; his sons, Adam (Traci Herring) and Josh (Robyne Herring); his grandchildren, Parker of Mount Olive, Raegan of Mount Olive, Cannon of Mount Olive and Scarlett Herring of Mount Olive; his brother Mike; his sister-in-law Brenda Herring of Ayden; his mother-in-law Rose B. Mellette (Marion Mellette) of Kinston; his siblings-in-law, Connie Daniels Strickland and Robert Strickland; and his close friends, Dero and Carolyn Burroughs.
