It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emmitt Cecil Davis (Calypso, North Carolina), who passed away on April 5, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Frances Barwick Davis; his daughter Teresa Irene Davis; and his father George W. Davis. He is survived by: his son Gene Hines (Virginia) of Calypso; and his siblings, Louise D. Anderson of Columbus, Ohio, Winston Davis, Leonard Davis and Kenneth Davis of Corinth, Mississippi. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
