She was predeceased by: her husband John Miller; her grandson Chris Miller; her parents, George Phillips and Lula Johnson Phillips Kornegay; her stepfather Jule Kornegay; her brother William Philips; and her sister-in-law Claire Phillips.
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda M. Ashby (Sid) of Greenville, Johnny Miller (Star) of Holden Beach, Phil Miller (Barbara) of Wake Forest and Tonya M. Jenkins (David) of Garner; her grandchildren, Todd Miller of Mount Olive, Leigh Miller Butler (Reid) of Clinton, Tracie Miller Champion (Robert) of Wake Forest, John Ashby (Katie) of Greenville, Sidney Ashby Gorham (Jonathan) of Falkland, Jordan Jenkins of Garner and Victoria Jenkins of Garner; her great grandchildren, Alexis Miller, Dylan Miller, Ryan Miller (Jenna), Caroline Butler and Grayson Butler; and her sisters, Cecille Best (Bobby) of Mount Olive and Gladys Baker (Bill) of Goldsboro. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
