We are sad to announce that on January 23, 2018 we had to say goodbye to Ruth Lillian Hubbell (Calabash, North Carolina). You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Joseph Zehetner; and her husband Samuel Nicholas Hubbell. She is survived by: her parent Mary Zehetner (Hambsch); her children, Doug Hubbell and Diane Demes; her daughter-in-law Jana Hubbell; and her grandchildren, Dylan Hubbell, Siena Demes and Francesca Demes. She is also survived by friends, painting, relaxing with a good book alongside her beloved dog and participating on the Veterans Affairs Committee with the Calabash Elks Lodge. She was fiercely independent; a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, friend.
Ruth will be laid to rest with her husband at Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Southport-Oak Island Animal Rescue (SOAR), Paws Place or the Calabash Elks Veterans Affairs Committee.
