It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Layton Tharpe of Calabash, North Carolina, born in Brunswick, North Carolina, who passed away on July 17, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommy Thorpe and Ettie Rabon Thorpe; and his wife Ora Vivian Tharpe. He is survived by: his close friends, Wayne and Bonnie Swink. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
