He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Roscoe Lawson and Elizabeth M. Lawson; his wife Frances F. Lawson; and his sisters, Faye Foley, Emily R. Edwards, Dale Nay and Debra O'Tuel.
He is survived by: his great-nephew Trey Elam (Jaime); his sisters, Lynda Prevatte and Gayle L. Wilkes; and his stepchildren, Joey Fitzgerald (Michelle) and Renee F. Freeman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
