Mildred Shepley Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Shepley of Butner, North Carolina, who passed away on September 10, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Olin B. Cauthon and Glendora Frances Backer; her husband Dale; her children, Mona Lisa and Eddie; her sister Dottie; and her brothers-in-law, Bill, Sam and Terry.
She is survived by: her daughters, Melody Bain (Calvin) and Sarah Hardin (Dale); her sister-in-law Joy Gatewood; her stepparents, Bob Carter and Ella Cauthon; and her daughter-in-law Rose Shepley. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Millie may be made to the Durham Church of Christ at 5224 Wake Forest Rd, Durham NC 27703.
