With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Claude Briggs (Burnsville, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 9, 2024 at the age of 76. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Roscoe Briggs, Sr. and Pearl Briggs; his grandson John Stephen Briggs; his parents-in-law, Jay and Muriel Laws; his siblings, Paul, Reed, Thurman Briggs, Clara Lee Chrisawn and Frances Briggs Boone; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry Boone, Charles McKinney and Maude Briggs.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Laws Briggs; his children, Stephen Briggs (Misty) of Penland and Stephanie Briggs Whitson (Jody) of Arbuckle; his grandson Tyler Briggs of Arbuckle; his siblings, Shirley McKinney of Estatoe, Charles Briggs (Geraline) of Micaville and Rev. Roscoe Briggs, Jr. of Micaville; and his siblings-in-law, Adaleen Briggs, Shirley Briggs, Clara Briggs, Rosie Laws, Clarence Chrisawn, Jerry Laws and Randy Laws. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, extended family.
