She is survived by: her sons, Joe Staton (Marie) of Lexington and Jimmy Staton of Newland; her grandchildren, Patricia Staton, Shannon Staton, Joe Staton II and James Strickland; and her sisters, Nina Mae Carswell and Ann Turbyfill (Willie). She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren.
