He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Cole and Betty Sue Garland; his siblings, Brenda Young and Danny Cole of Spruce Pine; and his sister-in-law Gail Cole.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Faye Cole; his children, Jenny Clawson (Tyler), Simon Thomas Clawson of Smithfield, Amanda Dawn Cole of Leicester and Josh Roscoe Cole; his grandchildren, Nathan of Weaverville, Chloe of Weaverville, Jocelyn of Weaverville and Andrew of Weaverville; his siblings, Donna Cole of Burnsville and Johnny Cole of Bee Log; and his half-siblings, Scotty Cole (Shelly) of Burnsville, Miranda Bean (Kevin) of Burnsville and Michael Garland of Asheville.
