He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Thomas and Thurlene Jones Thomas; his daughter Tiffany Thomas; his grandchildren, Shiloh, Adriel, Noel and Jordan Thomas; and his brother Preston Thomas.
He is survived by: his friend Across (Camp Funshine) of North Carolina; his wife Tammy Carroll Thomas; his children, Greg Thomas of Burnsville, Jeff Thomas (Leeza) of Pennsylvania and Tabitha Thomas of Burnsville; his grandchildren, Allyson, Paisley and Lily; his daughter-in-law Addie Palmer of Spruce Pine; his sister-in-law Grace Thomas of Marion; and his godchildren, James Thompson and Abby Thompson.
