Rebecca Turner Gillespie Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 1, 2025, at the age of 86, Rebecca Turner Gillespie of Burnsville, North Carolina, born in Pink Hill, North Carolina passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rebecca Turner Gillespie to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leighton Houston and Mildred Davis Turner. She is survived by: her husband Charles Gillespie; her sons, Charles Joseph Gillespie and Leighton Davis Gillespie (Ruth); her grandchildren, Carter (Gary), Branin, Jake, Meg (Ashley) and Alex (Fiona); her sister Debbie Dekle (Brent); and also L. H. Turner (Carolyn). She is also survived by two great grandsons and several nieces and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Yancey Funeral Service (378 Charlie Brown Rd, Burnsville, NC 28714). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Higgins Methodist Church (101 N Main St, Burnsville, NC 28714).
