He was predeceased by: his parents, Britton Lee and Wilma Hope Blevins Mitchell; and his sister Lila Higgins. He is survived by: his wife Helen Farrell Mitchell; his daughter Ashley Zartman (Matt) of Burnsville; his grandchildren, Axle and Jordie Zartman; his siblings, Gilbert Blevins (Brenda) of Newdale, Michael Mitchell (Kim) of Burnsville, Robert Mitchell (Renata) of Burnsville, Billy Mitchell of Burnsville, Darrell Mitchell (Angie) of Burnsville and Donna Chaney (Gary) of Bakersville; and also Roger Thompson. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
