She was predeceased by: her father George Yelton; her husband Leonard Barnes; her children, Lisa Ann Hartnell and Kenneth Wade Bryant; her siblings, Georgialee Yelton, Irene Byrd, Ruby Ray, Viola McIntosh, Faye Byrd, E. L. Yelton and Jack Yelton; and her siblings-in-law, Hazel Yelton, Helen Yelton, Edgar Robinson, George Byrd, Addison Ray and Mac McIntosh.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Lassiter (David) of Bolens Creek, Iva Jean Edwards (Randall) of Bowditch and George Bryant (Jewell) of Burnsville; her son-in-law Bruce Hartnell of Bald Creek; her grandchildren, Tina Lassiter, Shane Lassiter (Kelly), Daniel Yelton (Melissa) and Sammie Figueroa (Carlos); her great grandchildren, Jackie Blackburn, Conway Blackburn, Michael Hensley, Matthew Hensley, Emily Lassiter, Landon Lassiter, Jaedyn Godfrey, Haven Godfrey, Maria Hartnell, Leticia Sanchez and Giovanni Figueroa; and her siblings, Wade Yelton (Pearl) of Green Mountain, Rosie Byrd (James) of Fairbanks, AK, Phoebe Robinson of Possum Trot and Sue Ponder (Devoyd) of Mars Hill.
