She was predeceased by: her parents, Arkie Barnett and Rhea "Marie" Barnett; her husband Lawrence Ray; and her siblings, Tina Bennett, Juanita Bennett Hylemon and Teddy J. Barnett.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Metcalf (Clifford) of Burnsville, Nancy Barefoot (Kenny) of Chocowinity and Andrew Ray of Possum Trot; her grandchildren, Jeremy (Jody), Jason, Hayden, Anna Grace (Heath) and Collin; and her sisters, Yvonne Peterson of Green Mountain, Sue Peterson of Weaverville, Annette Dill of Green Mountain and Cleave Barnett of Johnson City, TN.. She is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
