He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas "Frank" McGuire and Monnie Lee McGuire; his brother Joe McGuire; and his cousin Gerald McGuire. He is survived by: his sisters, Geraldine Townsend (Homer) of Boone and Frankie Townsend (Hubert) of Boone; his nieces and nephews, Paula Miller (Kevin), Michelle Curd (Rick), Melinda Brown, Gerald Townsend (Crystal) and Randall Townsend (Sarah); and his caregivers, Jessica Buchanan (Patrick) and Lisa McGuire.
