It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Murphy of Burnsville, North Carolina, who passed away on July 27, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Murphy and Kathleen Young Murphy; his wife Patsy Jo Black Murphy; his son Joey; his siblings, Diane Murphy Wilson and Billy Murphy; and his brother-in-law Bobby Merrill.
He is survived by: his son Joel "Little Boy" Murphy (Dana) of Crabtree; his grandson Tyler Murphy (KayLee) of Estatoe; and his siblings, Beverly Deyton (Rodney) of Burnsville, Shirley Merrill of Morganton, Clarence "Fuzz" Murphy (Nell) of Burnsville, Morris Murphy (Grace) of Bowditch and Tommy Murphy of Bowditch.
