He is survived by: his wife Leta Robinson Shuford; his sons, Barry Shuford of Rock Creek and Larry Shuford of Burnsville; his grandchildren, Zachary Shuford of Burnsville, Tiffany Shuford of Micaville and Victoria Shuford of Micaville; his great grandchild Piper Ollis; his siblings, Lillian Shuford Huskins of South Toe, Linda Hendricks (John) of Spruce Pine, Martin Shuford of Micaville, Troy Shuford of Marion and Junior Shuford (Viola) of South Toe; his nephew Robert Owensby; and his close friends, Bobby, Ferando and Juanita. He is also survived by his family and friends.
