He was predeceased by: his parents, Biss Laws and Ethel Edwards Laws; his siblings, Vena Hamby (James), Loyd Laws (Ollie), Willie Laws, Opal Laws, Carl Laws and Lola Bennett; his brother-in-law Richard Baker; and his parents-in-law, Lee and Ivery Baker.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Baker Laws of Burnsville; his children, Kim Laws Hodshon (Robin) of Burnsville and Kevin Laws of Weaverville; his grandchildren, J. T. Laws, Pressley Laws and Brinkley Hodshon; his siblings, Leonard Laws (Linda) of Salisbury, Lena King of Burnsville and J. D. Laws (Kathy) of Burnsville; his brothers-in-law, Willoree Jobe (Willie) of Burnsville and Randy Baker (Sheila) of Burnsville; and his pet Milo.
