We are sad to announce that on August 11, 2022, at the age of 79, Farrell Hughes (Burnsville, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Lee and Bertie Hughes; his wife Anna Ruth Calhoun Hughes; his siblings, Doyle Hughes, Donnie Hughes and Edna Ruth Hughes; and his son-in-law Rocky Grant.
He is survived by: his children, Deanna Gragg (Jimmy) of Collettsville, Beth Grant of Roaring Creek and Kenny Hughes (Shannon) of Squirrel Creek; his grandchildren, Leslie Gragg, James Gragg (Jill), Lindsey Greer (Jamie), Lacey Noble (Justin), Rocky Grant, Jr. (Autumn), Hunter Grant (Jess), Brianna Grant, Brooke Grant and Gideon Hughes (Brittany); his siblings, Damon Hughes (Marsha) of Roaring Creek and Judy Puckett (Carson) of Banner Elk; and his niece Brenda Singleton (T. L.) of Roaring Creek. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great, great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
