She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie May (Hylton) and Thomas P. Smith; and her sisters, Madelene Boyd, Ione Varner and Margaret Scott.
She is survived by: her brothers, David Smith (Elaine) and Darrell Smith (Sarah Nell); her nieces, Judy Sheldon (Chris Gorman) of Maryland and Mary Sheldon of Burnsville; and her nephew Ed Sheldon (Nóirín) of Ireland. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
