She is survived by: her children, Dean Grindstaff (Samantha), Sandie Grindstaff and Sharon Gillespie (Tim); her siblings, J. D. Johnson of Spruce Pine and Richard Johnson of Spruce Pine; and her grandchildren, Andra Helton (Marc), Anthony Hudson (April), Aaron (Ellie), Alex Hudson, Ayla Johnson (Eric), Chase Gillespie (Madison), Cole Gillespie, Gracelynn Grindstaff, Katelyn and Jordan Sillman. She is also survived by many great grandchildren.
