He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Goins and Fannie Buchanan Goins; his granddaughter Betsy Danielle Dellinger; and his siblings, Sanford Goins, Jerry Goins, Lucille Duncan, Louellen Tolley and Lorraine King.
He is survived by: his wife Alda Odom Goins; his children, Michael Goins of Cranberry, Tammy Dellinger of Newland, Gail Hughes (Doug) of Henson Creek, Missie Grishaber (Mike) of Ledger and Beth Walden (Josh) of Ingalls; his grandchildren, Stacey Smith, Kendall Grishaber, Matthew Goins, Tyler Goins, Abigail Gouge, Breanna Hughes and Anna Thompson; his great grandchildren, Garrett, Heidi, Violet, Myles, Jordan and Kensley; his sisters, Louise Goins of Morganton and Louann Nease (Frankie) of Denver, NC; and his son-in-law Jamey Thompson.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Blue Ridge at 236 Hospital Drive, Spruce Pine, NC 28777.
