He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeter McCourry and Gladys Fox McCourry; his son Edsel L. McCourry, Jr.; his granddaughter Raeanna McCourry; and his brother Jeter Lee McCourry.
He is survived by: his wife Anna Mae Riddle McCourry; his children, James David McCourry (Jennifer), Charles McCourry and Lisa Miller (E. L.); his grandchildren, Haley, Derrick (Courtney), David Ethan (Shayleigh), Mason, Hannah and Abigail (Gabby); and his siblings, Charlie McCourry (Helen), Vada Woody (Phillip) of Burnsville, Senia Mae Fox of Burnsville, Rita Dale (Danny) of Burnsville and Ginger Shepherd (David) of Burnsville.
