She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack E. McIntosh and Annis Hardin McIntosh; her brother Gary Ray McIntosh; and her grandparents, Ernest, Lucy King McIntosh, Hobart and Pansy Pate Hardin.
She is survived by: her sons, Christopher Stephen Bodford and Creston Elijah Bodford (Heather) of Burnsville; her grandchildren, Darbie Grace Bodford, Daisy Mae Bodford, Isaiah Jackson Bodford and Hazel Suzanne Bodford; her siblings, Shelia Huskins of Spruce Pine and Dennis McIntosh of Myrtle Beach, SC; and her caregivers, Rhonda Barone, Sandy Robinson and Harper Nosal. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers, Denise requested that memorials be sent to Compassionate Care WNC at 856 Georges Fork Road, Burnsville, NC 28714.
