It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Phillip Peterson (Burnsville, North Carolina), born in Dallas, Texas, who passed away on November 12, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Allyn Peterson and Loyce Douglass Peterson; his brother-in-law Gene Shorman; and his nephew Eric Shorman. He is survived by: his wife Billie Rutherford Peterson; his children, Ginger Peterson Ritchie (Jeremy) of Greenville, SC, Gary Peterson of Green Mountain and Drayton Peterson (Tiziana) of Hagerstown, Maryland; his grandchildren, Lorelei, Brantley, Foster and Mackenzie; and his siblings, Georgiana Shorman of Asheville, Carilou DiOrio of Asheville and Jimmy Peterson (Angela) of California. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
