He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Paul and Donnie Bruce; and his pet Annie. He is survived by: his wife Staci Shepherd Bruce; his mother Margaret Bruce Thompson; his stepfather Robert Thompson of Swannanoa; his children, Hayley Bruce of Black Mountain and Tyler Bruce of Fort Carson, Colorado; his stepchildren, Tyler Austin (Brittanie) of Madison County, NC and Megan Austin (Daniel) of Burnsville; his grandchildren, Bently, Ryley, Kolten, Everlee, Maddix and Grayson; his siblings, Barbara Bruce of Swannanoa and Jimmy Bruce (Holly) of Swannanoa; his parents-in-law, Herman and Cathy Beaver of Burnsville; and his close friends, Wade Deyton of Burnsville, Robert of Burnsville and Michelle Effler of Burnsville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
