She is survived by: her sons, Steve Carpenter (Wendy) of Burnsville and Bradley Carpenter of Burnsville; her siblings, Jerry Lee Buchanan of Spruce Pine, Gerald Wade Buchanan of Cary and Judy Buchanan Cowden of Knightdale; and her grandsons, Andrew and Greyson Carpenter of Burnsville.
