She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Geouge and Texie Gurley Geouge. She is survived by: her brother Charles Geouge, Jr.; her father-in-law Ralph Briggs; her husband Jackie Briggs; her children, Dillon Briggs (Abby) of Flat Top and Caitlin Oetting (Alex) of South Toe; her grandchildren, Braxton, Canaan, William and Isaiah; her mother-in-law Lena Briggs of Jacks Creek; her sister-in-law Michelle McIntosh (Jordan) of Jacks Creek; her pet Kimbear; and her friends, Lil, Goob, Dick, Doc, Margie Dulaney, Betty Frye, Maude Sparks, Pat Thompson and Rev. Roy Whitson. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Briggs-Oetting Family Cemetery (217 Poplar Leaf Dr, Burnsville, NC 28714).
