We are sad to announce that on January 25, 2022, at the age of 83, Carolyn Kate Chandler Shepherd (Burnsville, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Pierce Chandler and Jaylina McKinney Chandler; her husband Bobby Shepherd; her grandson Cory Jake Hollifield; and her siblings, Pearl Deaver, Myrtle Deaver, Dot Fox, Nina Chandler, Edd, Vernon, Bobby and Calvin Chandler.
She is survived by: her daughters, Marieka Shepherd Black of Hardscrabble, Barbara Shepherd Hollifield (Keith) of Pensacola and Jennifer Shepherd Peterson (Terrence) of Indian Creek; her grandsons, Caleb Lee Black, Joshua Seth Black (Taylor), William Cody Hollifield (Emily), Sully Peterson and Roanen Peterson; her great grandchildren, Kaden Everett, Nora Karolyne Hollifield and Paisley Rose Black; and her brother Donald Chandler (Marietta) of Weaverville.
