She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Burrell and Altha Norton Burrell; her husband Keith Penland; and her siblings, Gladys Arrington and Kenneth Burrell.
She is survived by: her children, Tim Penland (Alexandra) of Prices Creek and Crystal Roberts (Brian) of Simms Fork; her grandchildren, Trey Penland of Burnsville, Nicholas Roberts (Tiffany) of Burnsville, Samuel Roberts of Burnsville, Tricia Penland of Burnsville and Heather Zimmerman (William) of Shelton Laurel; and her great grandchildren, Aubrey Roberts, Zachary Zimmerman and Kinsley Zimmerman.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Yancey Funeral Services (378 Charlie Brown Rd, Burnsville, NC 28714).
