She was predeceased by: her parents, Mitchell Hopson and Essie Woody Hopson; her husband Fred Barker Peterson; her daughters, Sherry Peterson Troxell and Jamie Peterson; her grandson Jason Troxell; and her siblings, Gertrude Wilson, Elva Turpin, Gineva Lawrence, Betty Jo Brydge (Alice Honeycutt), Garland Hopson, Donald Hopson and Michael Hopson.
She is survived by: her son Tim Peterson (Pam Dease) of Burnsville; her granddaughter Alecia Troxell Deyton; her great grandchildren, Izzy, Ronin, Gabriel and Anton; her brother Stanley "Cotton" Hopson (Sharon) of South Toe; and her nieces, Donna "Cricket" Winters and Deborah Young. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
