She was predeceased by: her parents, Vaughn Allen and Vivian Gouge Allen; her husband Howard Simmons; and her brother Vaughn E. Allen, Jr.. She is survived by: her sons, Jeff Simmons of South Toe and Andy Simmons (Angie) of Lincolnton; her grandson Lance Simmons (Emily) of Newport News, VA; and her siblings, Deborah L. Autrey of South Toe and John H. Allen (Linda) of Greensboro.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the White Oak Creek Independent Baptist Church (1956 White Oak Creek Rd, Burnsville, NC 28714). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
