It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brenda Cole Young of Burnsville, North Carolina, who passed away on June 23, 2023, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Troy Cole and Betty Garland Cole; her stepmother Norma; and her grandmother Madge Edwards. She is survived by: her husband Doug Young; her children, Marc Young (Lorah) and Jayanna Gillespie (David Mark); her grandchildren, Jillian, Judah Young, Ava, Noah-Jay and Annalise Gillespie; and her siblings, Johnny Cole, Tim Cole, Scottie Cole, Daniel Cole, Micheal Garland, Donna Cole and Merinda Bean. She is also survived by her husband, children and grandchildren.
