He is survived by: his sons, Travis Sykes of Elon and Michael Sykes (Sabina Bounya) of Greensboro; his grandchildren, Sierra, Levi Sykes, Madison and Shannon Hobbs; and his siblings-in-law, Clayton Whitesell and Patricia Billings.
