We are sad to announce that on October 6, 2024, at the age of 78, Sue Thomas Drake (Burlington, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Ray Drake, Sr.; and her parents, James Robert Thomas and Lois Virginia Moody of Burlington. She is survived by: her children, Dana Drake Slaughter (Bruce) of Burlington, Charles Ray Drake, Jr. (Ginger) of Greenville, NC, Thomas Kendall Drake (Sherri) of Farmville, NC and Matthew Todd Drake (Hope) of Burlington; her grandchildren, Drake Slaughter (Samantha), Anniston, Jillian Drake, Ty (Claire), Peyton Drake (Ashley), Danielle Drake and Sierra Jones (Dontay); her great grandchildren, Jeremiah Jones and Stetson Slaughter; her sister Janie McCrickard (Mike) of Burlington; and her close friend Ruth McHone of Burlington.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 8th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory (2205 S Church St, Burlington, NC 27215). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 9th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel (2205 S Church St, Burlington, NC 27215). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, October 9th 2024 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the McCray Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
