She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Simpson and Minne Collins Simpson; her husband Linnie Clarence Burnett; her sister Brenda Dover; her daughter Sheena Marie Hill; her grandchildren, Robin Neal, Billy Neal and Clay Bowles; and her great grandchild Kirsten Willard.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Hyder (Mike), Patsy Webster (Bobby) and Donnie Hill (Lisa); and her siblings, Helen Roberts, J. C. Simpson and Bobby Simpson. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; many beloved great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Omega Funeral Service & Crematory Chapel (2120 May Dr, Burlington, NC 27215). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
